SEM or Search Engine Marketing is a set of marketing methods used to increase the visibility of a website in the search engine results pages (SERPS).
SEM primarily comprises of 'sponsored listings' also known as 'Pay-per-click' (PPC) advertising and 'organic listings' which are achieved via the process of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
